Support Worker
Location: Taunton, travel within the area
Salary: £22,932 per annum, pro rata (£12.60 per hour)
Hours: 21 per week, 10:00-18:00 Monday, Thursday and Friday
Contract: Permanent

As a Support Worker, you’ll be a lifeline for people who may be feeling vulnerable after a hospital stay. Whether it’s helping with shopping, checking in with a phone call, or simply being a friendly face, your support will help people live more independently. It’s more than just a job - it’s a chance to give back, grow your skills, and be part of a team that truly cares.
What will a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?
- Providing practical and emotional support, including welfare calls, shopping, and home visits.
- Supporting adults after a hospital stay to help them recover safely at home.
- Responding to referrals from clinicians and community health professionals.
- Assessing needs and following a personalised support plan for each service user.
To be a successful Support Worker, what will you need?
- A kind, calm and confident approach with great people skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.
- Basic IT skills and a commitment to following procedures.
