Service Support Assistant

Salary: £24,479 - £24,809 Per Annum based on 35 hours per week

As a Service Support Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for the newly formed service within our Mobility Aids team, providing operational and administrative support.
Our service offer hire of wheelchairs and other mobility items, as well as training on how to use them properly. We give people the competence to continue living independently. We can also ease people's transition to living at home again following a hospital stay.
What does a day in the life of a Service Support Assistant involve?
- Providing clerical and operational support. This may include dealing with face to face queries, calls & bookings, processing invoices, and working across different systems.
- Working alongside our existing volunteers and staff, providing outstanding customer service when interacting with service users in person, on the phone, and online.
- Ensuring that the delivery service, stock control and other administrative systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth and efficient operations.
What does it take to be a successful Service Support Assistant?
- Excellent administration and customer service skills and are at ease handling financial transactions.
- Confidence using IT software and databases, particularly online stock management systems and generally having sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Call handling experience, preferably in a contact centre, for dealing with queries from customers, hospitals and referring agencies in a positive and professional manner.
- Great organisational skills and you can prioritise tasks and manage your workload in a busy environment with minimum supervision.
