Do you want to make a real difference to people’s lives the moment they leave hospital? Are you looking for a rewarding role that could kick start your career in the health and social sector?

We’re looking for someone kind, reliable, and full of positive energy to join our Health and Care team as a Support Worker. If you’re the type of person who enjoys helping others feel safe and supported, you could make a real difference in someone’s life. No formal care experience? That’s okay. If you’re patient, thoughtful, and can make someone feel at ease, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

As a Support Worker, you’ll be a lifeline for people who may be feeling vulnerable after a hospital stay. Whether it’s helping with shopping, checking in with a phone call, or simply being a friendly face, your support will help people live more independently. It’s more than just a job - it’s a chance to give back, grow your skills, and be part of a team that truly cares.

What will a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?

  • Providing practical and emotional support, including welfare calls, shopping, and home visits.
  • Supporting adults after a hospital stay to help them recover safely at home.
  • Responding to referrals from clinicians and community health professionals.
  • Assessing needs and following a personalised support plan for each service user.
To be a successful Support Worker, what will you need?
  • A kind, calm and confident approach with great people skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.
  • Basic IT skills and a commitment to following procedures.
Interested? The closing date for applications is 23.59 on Wednesday 15th September 2026.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you’ll get:
  • Flexible working: Remote and hybrid working, flexitime, compressed hours, and job sharing.
  • Holidays: 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus the option to buy extra leave.
  • Pension Scheme: Up to 6% contributory pension.
  • Recognition Platform: Managers can reward great work with retail vouchers.
  • Discounts: Discounts through our Reward Gateway, Blue Light Card, Tickets for Good, and more.
  • Wellbeing Support: Peer Supporters, CiC (EAP) & Headspace App.
  • Learning & Development: A range of career and learning opportunities.
  • Will Writing Service: Access to a free will writing service.
  • Death in Service: A tax-free lump sum paid to your beneficiary in the event of your death.
  • Cycle2Work: Lease a bicycle through the scheme.
